The men's 4s played a touring Brighton U16. We started off well in the first quarter, with a few chances on goal, with a few feet and passes letting us down. Brighton scored against the run of play to leave it 1-0 at the end of the quarter.
Brighton came back strong in the second quarter with lots of energy and two additional goals, including one reverse hit into the top of the net.
The third 15 ended with an additional Brighton goal to leave us 4-0 down with 15 to go.
We turned the game around in the final quarter, scoring quickly after the restart by chasing down, forcing a short, which Ryan Link converted. A few minutes later, James Rowe capitalised on confusion around the D to put us 2-4 down with 10 to go.
Good pressure in the last few minutes led to another short, which Ryan put away.
We finished strong, and if we'd played the full 70, we'd hope to have drawn or pulled ahead.
